The Nest

The Nest provides transitional supported accommodation to young parents aged 16 – 19 inclusively who are pregnant or have young infants aged under 18 months. The program has been designed to provide young families with safe and secure accommodation while assisting them with independent living skills and parenting information. The program connects young parents and their children to community supports to establish a supportive environment long after they have left the program.

Support staff work closely with the families on a weekly basis in the home to ensure all safety and developmental progression occurs at a healthy pace.

Young people can access the program for up 18 months – 2 years however it is a transitional program which is based around individual support needs and suitability.
